Name: Nadezhda Petkovic
Who is she? The oldest daughter of an auto mechanic and a nurse spend her childhood more with engines, exhaust pipes and spare parts than with other children. When she was 8, her father gave her an old C=64 for christmas, which raised her interest in comptures. At the age of 12 she descovered she has a very rare "gift": she can "communicate" with machines and comptures in a supernatural way and can manipulate them in a certain manner, just using her mind.
Now, the quite beautiful and tall (6'1") woman is 21 and lives a life between engines, machines and computers of all kind, using her "talent". Some people say she's a loner, and in fact she doesn't have a huge social life, but she doesn't care what other people say. She tries to keep her gift hidden, and only a few people know about it.
What does she do? She's inventing, constructing (and most of the time) reparing machines of all kind. The little money she makes with that work she's financing her studies in electrical engineering. Her home is a small apartment at the far end of the city, and she has not much contact to her parents or her younger sister, working with the machines at night and studying at day. Her goal is to get an engineering degree, earning enough money, which allows her to invest more in her "inventions".
How did you come up with her? Me being a scientist, I am surrounded by annoying engineers all day. So I wondered how it would be to be surrounden by an annoying PRETTY engineer . Her first name is a homage to . The last name is taken from the German Tennis player Andrea Petkovic, who resembles her.
